MS-R5 is a powerful Network Media Storage System. You can save media files in Maximum 1.6 TB disk space.

* Direct connect to Momitsu Network Players (V880N). No PC required for media steaming.

* Supports Momitsu Network Players High-Definition Progressive Scan video output 480p, 720p and 1080i. An ideal media source for HDTV, Plasma, LCD and projectors. More detail.

* 1000/100/10M Gigabit Network & Wireless 802.11a/b/g network ready.

* Two USB 2.0 ports for printer Server.

Momitsu MS-R5 supports hardware RAID and there are 3 different RAID levels:

RAID 0
Level 0 — Striped Disk Array without Fault Tolerance: Provides data striping (spreading out blocks of each file across multiple disk drives) but no redundancy. This improves performance but does not deliver fault tolerance. If one drive fails then all data in the array is lost. (100% of total disk capacity available)
RAID 1
Level 1 — Mirroring and Duplexing: Provides disk mirroring. Level 1 provides twice the read transaction rate of single disks and the same write transaction rate as single disks. (50% of total disk capacity available)
RAID 5
Level 5 — Block Interleaved Distributed Parity: Provides data striping at the byte level and also stripe error correction information. This results in excellent performance and good fault tolerance. Level 5 is one of the most popular implementations of RAID. (65% of total disk capacity available)
