Sony launched its much-hyped PSP portable entertainment device Thursday to thousands of expectant fans - many of whom had queued for hours to get their hands on the 249 dollar gadget.

LG has lifted the lid on its sultry new portable media centre and it’s a little corker. First off it’s got to be the most attractive PMC we’ve seen in yonks, shipping in both black and white. Two versions are planned - 20GB and 30GB models - each packing a sweet 4.3-inch (470×272 pixel) LCD.

This unit is tiny (47×50x16mm) and can be removed which is good thing due to the recent spate of thefts involving GPS units. It detects the usual laser and specs cameras, the only one not covered is the mini gatso.
