According to an article over at Gamesradar, images have been released which are believed to have been leaked by an industry insider. Sources who have seen the hardware themselves have also said to have confirmed that this is the final design.

“While the render of the finalised design is white, sources are adamant the outer shell of the Xbox 360 will be removable, allowing gamers to personalise their console with a wide range of alternate colours and designs. Specific colours aren’t yet confirmed, although the chrome model partially unveiled on viral marketing website Ourcolony.net yesterday is a genuine possibility.”

The xbox 2 / 360 release is due to be shown on MTV on the 12th of May, four days before its rival reveals the PlayStation 3.

Looking good, Im suprised these details have managed to stay under cover so far, then again there is nothing to say this will be the final design!

Only 2 controller ports on a new machine! Are they crazy? This is a downgrade from the original technical spec, and the controller ports don’t appear to be backwards compatible with the current XBox devices - seems very strange decision.

I suspect this is not the final design…

2 controller ports? Surely the controllers will be wireless! I believe the two ports on the front of the machine you refer to are for “memory cards”, Mike!

if you look it says “memory card A” and “memory card B”
