FlashPoint USB ShareDrive
Published by GadgetSpy July 12th, 2005 in Gadgets, Computing, Storage. The flashPoint USB ShareDrive allows files to be transferred without being connected directly to a computer.
A USB Flash drive with a brain! Incorporating the revolutionary new ‘Sharing On The Go’ (SOTG) technology, FlashPoint drives eliminate the need for a host computer when sharing data between any USB memory device, including drives, cameras, and MP3 players.
Files can be places in a share directory and then when a button is pressed the files are copied over to another connected USB drive to a corresponding ‘load’ folder.
Unlike existing pen drives, FlashPoint ShareDrives do have a battery integrated inside. This provides the power to transfer data from one FlashPoint ShareDrive to another, but it is an extremely small battery which occupies virtually no room in the pen drive. FlashPoint is the first product to take flash drive technology to a point where the a users data and information can be easily transported and copied.
FlashPoint ShareDrives are designed to work on both Windows and Mac platforms, and with all USB devices, including USB 2.0 (Hi-Speed).
