Maycom Digital Voice on USB
Published by Budda July 28th, 2005 in Gadgets, Portable Audio, Audio. The Maycom digital recorder brings discreet digital recording to the USB memory stick in a slim package.
Crammed in to the slim silver case (measuring 4.5″ x 1.6″ x .7″) is a small visual display, showing operating status, clock, and date. In addition there’s an LED to easily distinguish Play and Record mode.
The device features a long recording time (32 hour record time in LP Mode) and power save function. The auto power save function shuts off after 1 min of no activity. Couple this with the optional voice activated recording mode makes the Maycom great for spy recordings!
The recording time is expandable using the built-in MMC/SD memory card slot. USB connection is capable of downloading 1-hour recording in less than 1 minute. Dissapointly the audio is recorded to the device in WAV format, not the most space efficient of audio file formats.
A perfect recorder for students or working geeks who like to daydream during those important “meetings” with the sales team. Also, great for keeping personal notes and memos.
Available now from ThinkGeek.com for $129.99.
