Elvis the robot cat

Published by GadgetSpy August 19th, 2005 in Misc, Robotics, Funny.

elvis the robot cat

Elvis the cat was involved in a tragic accident with a truck and lost the use of it’s rear legs, so Carlo Bertocchini developed a ‘robot platform’ to give it back mobility.

The hard part was apparently teaching the cat to use the 2 button control, but the feline now has the hang of it, as can be seen evidentally from the video.

We shouldn’t really laugh but I found the spinning cat funny, especially how it always seems to veer to the right (just like a shopping trolley at Asda! :)

That pic is so sad. At least they invented something! I would die if that happened to my cats!

Aww… that poor kitty! I’d rather put my poor cat to sleep rather than make it spin around and around and trying to move. Sheesh, it doesn’t seem very humane. :(

Brilliant invention! Major kudos to the inventor.
The pic is a little pathetic.
It may need some shaping- perhaps a little more fit with the cats’ body? The large bumper around it just might depress the cat.
Great job! Please keep ideas like that coming! Please keep perfecting this one also!
