NDS Gets TV Tuner
Published by Budda August 31st, 2005 in Gadgets, Visual, Consoles & Video Gaming, Handhelds.Turn your sleek Nintendo DS into a TV viewing tank with this new officially licenced add-on available in October 2005.
Fitting to the bottom of the Nintendo DS (and also compatible with the Gameboy Advance SP), the tuner module does as expected. Provides TV viewing via your NDS screen.
Powered from its own 4 AAA batteries to save your NDS juice, you’re likely to get up to 6 hours of TV goggle box viewing from it. However, the current device available from Lik-sang, is only capable of picking up Japanese NTSC TV signals. So if you’re living outside of Japan this gadget add-on is a bit of a white elephant!
Don’t make the stupid mistake some Lik-Sang shoppers are doing and believe that plugging this in to your US or European NDS will allow you to magically pick up Japanese TV.
However if you are out in Japan, pick up the TV tuner from Lik-sang.com for around £50 GBP in October.
