Controller Of The Revolution Revealed!

Published by Budda September 16th, 2005 in Gadgets, Entertainment, Consoles & Video Gaming.

Nintendo Revolution Controller

Nintendo will break with more than 20 years of video game history by abandoning the traditional controller held with two hands and introducing an all-new freehand-style unit held with one hand for the next generation Revolution game console.

Nintendo always emphasized they weren’t following Sony and Microsoft, and boy, they weren’t kidding. Nintendo decided Tokyo Game Show was the right time to sit down with select members of the press and unveil their vision of gaming’s future.

Its main features are going to include 3D pointing, via sensors that pick up the directionality of the controller, it will also be tilt sensitive. The four lights at the very bottom represent which player it belongs to

Two small sensors placed near the TV and a chip inside the controller track its position and orientation, allowing the player to manipulate the action on screen by physically moving the controller itself.

Nintendo Revolution Controller In Use

The effective maximum range for the wireless controller is expected to be somewhere between 10 and 15 feet.

Nintendo claims the new pioneering interface is highly intuitive and will allow players to run, jump, shoot, steer, kick and score far better than with the previous controller.

An expansion port on the bottom of the unit allows for add-on hardware to compliment this “remote controller” (our word for it, not Nintendo’s), like a second controller piece Nintendo demonstrated that comes equipped with an analog stick and two trigger buttons.

The response from all major publishers worldwide has been extremely positive. Beyond its other innovations, the new controller gives third parties flexibility, allowing them the option to use as many or as few of the controller features as they desire. In addition, incorporated techn ology will easily allow games from the NES , SNES , N64 and Nintendo GameCube generations to be controlled in familiar fashion.

HAY SCOTT you idiot you might take a look at all the photos because if youd look and stop looking at those stupid statistics oyu might see that the controller looks good and it doesnt matter about power it matters about the game so stop saying”the x-box 360 will win the system wars” because nintendo has better games and will wipe the floor with both microsoft and sony
