Oregon Have A Tiny Waterproof DAP For You
Published by Budda September 27th, 2005 in Gadgets, Portable Audio. What sets this digital audio player from the rest is the practical use of it whilst enjoying the outdoors, or keeping fit. The device is waterproof for 30 minutes, and to a depth of one metre.
It connects to your computer via USB so that you can add songs using the included software or by simply dragging and dropping them from your digital music collection to the MP3 player’s icon on your desktop. Whilst hooked up to your PC the unit charges its battery - which can play for up to 10 hours on a single charge.
Sadly the player comes with a very poor 128MB of storage space! However 128MB is probably enough for jogging, hiking, biking, or just commuting. You’ll need to convert your audio files in to low quality to get the quoted 4 hours of audio within the 128MB space.
Thankfully, if you get sick of the same MP3’s on loop, the Oregon has an FM radio bundled in too.
Weighing in at just 7-oz it shouldn’t burden you whilst having a swim in the pool. You also get ear-bud headphones, USB cable, belt-clip, and a carrying pouch.
