The new video iPod model is 30% thinner than the previous models with it’s QVGA 320 by 240 resolution.

iTunes 6 was also announced offering 2,000+ music videos and the option to download the latest episode of your favorite ABC and Disney television shows, including “Lost” and “Desperate Housewives.” ABC television shows would be available on iTunes a day after broadcast for $1.99.
The new iPod holds up to 15,000 songs, 25,000 photos or over 150 hours of video and is available in a 30GB model for $299 and a 60GB model for $399, with both models available in stunning white or black designs.
With 14 / 20 hours battery life for the 30 / 60gb models respectively plus the introduction of video capability it looks like Apple will be on to another winner.

i’m quite bummed, i must say.
steve jobs just stated that video playback qouldn’t be an option fur future ipod devices when holding a conference about the release of the nano and itunes 5.
so this comes nothing short of a surprise, and to be honest, i don’t even believe any of it.
Apparently this is just a stop-gap until a full-blown video iPod with a larger screen is released next year.
