Nokia E61 Details
Published by Budda October 12th, 2005 in Gadgets, Communication, Mobile Phones, PDA, VOIP.The Nokia E61 is an obvious contender to the Blackberry, no one is denying that. It’s just one of three new business-optimized handsets in the E-series.
The Nokia E61 is a slim (0.55 inches) messaging phone to compete with the new Motorola Q. Also featuring a landscape 24-bit QVGA display, QWERTY keyboard, and a miniSD slot for memory expansion.
The E61 supports quad-band GSM/EDGE and WCDMA 2100 for voice and data connectivity.
The Nokia E61 also includes the same advanced business call features and IP-based telephony functions as the Nokia E60 and Nokia E70.
Supporting multiple mobile email clients like BlackBerry Connect, GoodLink, Nokia Business Center, Seven Mobile Mail, Seven Always-On Mail, and Visto Mobile, the Nokia E61 provides seamless and encrypted mobile connectivity.
Full attachment handling (documents, spreadsheets, presentations, PDF viewer and ZIP manager) and an editing function (document, spreadsheet and presentation) are included. The Nokia E61 can send and receive emails, even when on a phone call which is a nice touch for the busy business user.
All the Series 60 Es run on Symbian OS 9.1 and will support advanced voice services such as Push-To-Talk and SIP allowing companies to integrate these phones into their Avaya or Cisco IP PBX, so they can be in the office whilst they are out of the office.
Available in the first quarter of 2006 worldwide.

I’m getting this phone… At first I wanted the SE W900, then the Nokia N80 - but now I want the E91 to replace my P900.
