Scratched iPod Nano lawsuits go International
Published by GadgetSpy November 9th, 2005 in Gadgets, Portable Audio, Audio, iPod.Consumers from both the UK and Mexico have joined a legal battle against Apple over allegedly defective screens that scratch too easily on the iPod Nano.
As reported not so long ago the iPod nano may not be up to scratch.
In the US a similar case was filed recently in October after several complaints about scratched or broken screens. The second lawsuit follows a large number of requests to be included in the action, said the case lawyer.
“Apple’s iPod Nano has sold in record numbers around the world, just as it did in the US. The far-reaching response also reveals that this is not just a small problem or a bad batch of Nanos, but a defect in the overall design that should have been rectified prior to the release,”[Steve Berman, lead lawyer on both cases.]
If you don’t want the hassle of joining a lawsuit and and have had no luck with a replacement there are some other alternatives:
- Lose some weight - apparently Americans are too fat for iPod nanos to fit in their pocket
- Restore your scratched ipod nano with brasso
Failing these you can trash the iPod nano as the guys over at Arstechnica did here
