Motion Simulation

Another innovation from the CES show in Las Vegas is this motion simulation technology. Available as stand alone lazy boy style seating or as a platform based multiple seat arrangment.
So how does it work? Well the system controller is plugged into the source. This will be your DVD, cable, VHS, satellite, CD-ROM or broadcast hardware.
Precisely synchronized to the DVD or source, the controller microprocessors translate cues from motion codes. Codes are programmed for specific movies to deliver a perfectly accurate and expressive representation of onscreen motion. There are two ways to control the motion simulator: With a PC via a USB connection or with a stand alone controller (picture right).
Vertical actuators are factory-installed into the arms of high quality home theater seating.
The platform-based systems feature four low-profile horizontal actuators that simulate movement of the entire platform, seating and occupants via four-point suspension. Seating areas as large as 5' X 12' and weighing up to 2,400 lbs are viable.
Applications included home cinema installations, simulator systems or even arcade style gaming
There are many movies that have already been programmed with the nessesary codes but if your movie is not yet supported you simply employ the sophisticated audio mode and the controller will derive the motion based on the audio tracks from the source.
Imagine employing this system along with an Olympus eye trek style display or sat three feet away from your 42" plasma-pure bliss
