Analogue TV starting to drop-off

Panasonic has become the first major TV manufacturer to put an end to its analogue manufacturing, to concentrate on the digital market as it blossoms.
Matsushita Electronic, of which Panasonic is the brand name, will stop developing analogue sets from next month.
The UKââ¬â¢s analogue switch off is not until 2012, but the next-generation services launch this year with the arrival of high-definition broadcasts from Sky and the BBC.
Panasonic has also just announced plans to build the worldââ¬â¢s largest plasma display plant in Japan. Good thing they made room for it by dropping the old TVs!
