Nintendo DS shortage in Japan

Since the holiday season Japan has been in short supply of the Nintendo DS handheld. Like the XBox 360 in other countries has been sold out, Japanese gamers can’t get hold of the NDS anywhere!

In a strange role-reversal, Japananese retailers are now importing the NintendoDS from America to meet the demand!

Currently the Electric Blue DS handheld is selling for 19,800 yen - which is about £97.

However, while the platform will play Japanese DS games without a hitch, apparently Nintendo of Japan will not honor the US warranty.
