Sony to debut new Vaio SZ and F

Sony Vaio SZ S2

Due in February 2005, Sony has announced the Japanese release of 2 new laptop PC's based on the Intel Duo Core.

In its quest to put more power into a small package, Sony is raising the bar once again with its new VAIO SZ series notebooks. Using the latest mobile technology from Intel.

The SZ series will come with CPUs ranging from 1.66GHz to 2.16GHz, a 13.3” WXGA screen and a choice of the 945GM Express or GeForce Go 7400 graphics solution.

The SZ Premium goes even further, at a mere 0.9 inches slim, and under four pounds light, the Premium series is a welcome but barely noticeable addition to any bag!

Other important specs include an available integrated EDGE radio, biometric fingerprint sensor, G-Sensor shock protection, and built in mic and camera for video-conferencing.

The F TV series slant more toward TV use, thus the generous 15.4” screens. Minimum specs are set at a 1.66GHz CPU, 160GB HDD, a dual-layer DVD burner, a MPEG card and a maximum resolution of 1280 x 800
