Nintendo Revolution Goes Wii

Nintendo have confirmed the news that the console formerly known as Revolution is now Wii - that's pronounced "We" for those a little confused.

Nintendo have more news on their Revolution website, but the key questions of "When is it out?" and "How much will it cost?" remain unanswered, though EA Canada have some more information on what games available for the system will be like in an interview with Gamasutra.

But you're probably asking: What does the name mean?"

"Wii sounds like 'we,' which emphasizes this console is for everyone. Wii can easily be remembered by people around the world, no matter what language they speak. No confusion. No need to abbreviate. Just Wii."
