Trust in Sat Nav sees Brits into deep water

In a Wiltshire village in the UK, a new hot spot has emerged when sat nav really can’t work miracles. Drivers are following directions and ending up in a ford in the River Avon which is roughly 2ft deep, and to top things off there is a £25 charge to help get pulled back out.

Temporary speed camera nets £1m

A Gatso camera at roadworks on the M62 at Ferrybridge raised £1,088,000 from 18,000 drivers in only 18 months. These motorists also accumulated 50,000 penalty points on their licences.

Free Broadband for the UK?

Carphone Warehouse is set to launch a landgrab on the UK broadband market which will provoke a price war for high-speed internet access, it was reported today. According to trade mag Mobile, Carphone is due to unveil details of its broadband service on April 11 ahead of a summer launch backed by a massive ad campaign.
