Pub urinals say dont drink and drive
Published by GadgetSpy May 27th, 2006 in Gadgets, Visual, Misc, Funny, Transportation.Nassua Country policy have started a pilot program of talking urinals dubbed the Wizmark urinal communicator. This is a plastic cover that rests over the urinal drainn with a 3.5′ plastic screen that displays messages; this one aimed at stopping drunk drivers making their way home from the pub.
Upon detecting a visitor the device starts after a small delay: “Hey you Yea You, having a few drinks? Then listen up! Think you had one to many then it’s time to call a cab or call a sober friend for a ride home. It sure is safer and a hell of a lot cheaper than a DWI. Make the smart choice tonight, don’t drink and drive”
The Wizmark was paid for by DWI fines and is being be distributed free to bars located in Nassau County.
It’s a shame the device doesn’t really ‘take the p#ss’ i.e with a real sample that is then analysed there and then giving you the red or green light to drive
This isn’t the first time we covered objects for the urinals, you might remember the pee goal but this is more useful and sending a serious message along with it.

I agree it would be funnier if it took a real p#$$ test. But then again the next thing you know would have to be a device that contacts the police if you test positive for alchohol in your urine. Scary world we live in.
I agree it would be funnier if it took a real test. Plus it would be annoying for the guys that work there to hear the automated message all day. But then again if they did have a real test the next thing you know the device would also contact the police….
