Apple’s OS X on Future iPods

Published by Budda July 6th, 2006 in Gadgets, Portable Audio, Apple Mac, iPod.

Although slightly hard to see, a video on YouTube is showing Apple’s Mac OS X running on an iPod of some description.

Using what looks like a stylus to select things from a touch screen, the iPod displays Mac OS X - browsing the web, and demonstrating the genei effect when a window is minimized.

Is this a clever video edit? or one of Apple’s prototype touch screen iPods with Wi-Fi and a VNC client?

With todays iPods running on sub-100Mhz processors its hard to believe Mac OS X with all it’s eye candy could run natively on the device.
