A Wii Walkthrough

Published by Budda October 31st, 2006 in Gadgets, Entertainment, Consoles & Video Gaming.

IGn Wii Walkthrough

IGN Subscribers wanted to share their Nintendo Wii love with everybody and shared an exclusive video on YouTube today. Prepare to dribble you Nintendo fanboys! (for everybody else it’s not too exciting)

Matt C is your host as he guides you round a development Wii box user interface & starts the game “Trauma Centre: Second Opinion”. Lets cut the talking and sit down for an introduction…

First impressions:

  • The interface doesn’t look as slick as Sonys PS3, or the XBox dashboard design.
  • Rotating the Wiimote around and the pointer icon rotating too is very subtle but smart demonstration of how accurate the hardware is.
  • Shame the Opera browser is not working in the current dev box firmware for this video.

Compared to the Sony Playstation 3, the Nintendo Wii user interface looks really dated for a nextgen console.

Is the Wii even classed as next-gen?

HA! The Wii is the only true next gen console because its breaking new ground with the controller system.

Yeah, sure, Sony have wedged in their monitor sense controller at the last minute, but graphics alone are not going to impress people as much this time around.

    Let the wars begin!
