iPhone Rekindled?
By budda on Wednesday, November 1st, 2006 comments
Experts are predicting Apple's iPhone could be announced at the Macworld conference in San Francisco in January based on a recent win for Apple on a patent for speech-recognition technology.
An iPhone, long talked about as the next big thing from Apple, would combine a mobile phone with iTunes downloads and Apple's recently launched Internet TV services.
The U.S. Trademark and Patent Office approved technology that allows Apple to assign "meanings to spoken utterances in a speech recognition Latest News about speech recognition system." The patent was first filed in February 2004.
The first deal has been agreed with U.S. mobile carrier Cingular to help develop the phone.
We look forward to seeing what Apple can do to make their mobile as slick to use as their other devices/computers.

I do hope Apple are not just going to stick the iTunes application on the phone think people will be impressed because it has the "Apple" brand on the hardware.
Their Motorola efforts were absolute rubbish. Maybe they'll have learnt from that...
