Two In One Flash Memory
Published by Gonzo Pete March 11th, 2007 in Gadgets, Laptops, Computing, Desktop PC, Cameras, Storage, Apple Mac.With flash drives getting smaller and more powerful its time manufacturers came up with something new to temp us away from the budget memory drives available from eBay and the like.
The Kingston DataTraveler Reader can store, transfer and read files all in one convenient device.
The device is a standard USB Flash drive with an onboard expansion slot to read SD, SDHC, MMC, MMCplus and with adapter (not supplied), miniSD, microSD, RS-MMC, MMCmobile and MMCmicro cards.
As easy as click and drag, DataTraveler Reader allows for quick and easy transfer of data between a PC or Mac computer and other digital devices.
When inserted into a USB port, two drive letters (i.e., G:\ and H:\) will appear, one for DataTraveler Reader’s internal memory and one for the expansion slot.
The drive will be available in 1Gb, 2GB and 4GB from the end of March. The 1GB will cost $20 (£10), the 2GB $35 (£18) no word as yet on the cost of the 4GB.
