Battery Free Mice

Published by Gonzo Pete May 28th, 2007 in Gadgets, Laptops, Computing, Desktop PC, Wireless, Apple Mac, Tablet PC.

Freedom for mice (from batteries that is) is upon us. The Sanwa MA-WHNB2S wireless optical mouse uses magnetic induction to power the mouse.

Much like the way many cordless tooth brushes recharge. This clever technology will mean you will never again need to worry about trailing wires and dead batteries. Another step closer to a totally wire-free world.
The power drawn from the USB by the mouse pad/base station is transferred to the mouse via an induction circuit located in the pad itself.

In addition the mouse offers 800dpi resolution and standard issue scroll wheel. Also included is a clever double-click button (why didn’t I think of that).
The lack of a battery means the mouse weights in at a meer 80 Grams which should be enough to lessen the RSI and speed up your scrolling just that little bit.
Excellent Value too.

Costs 3500Yen (£15) From Sanwa
