Remote Control Converter

I’m not sure how this nifty little remote control extender slipped under my radar but browsing the new Argos catalogue recently brought it to my attention.

While the One For All Remote Control Converter/Extender might not be hard hitting prototype technology, it is I believe, something many of us would find extremely useful.

The key difference in this extender is how it captures and transmits remote signals. You replace one of the standard AA or AAA batteries from your remote control with the specially adapted battery/transmitter module.
This is the brains of the operations and detects which remote keys you are pressing and transmits these to the main receiver.
Once at the receiver the signal can be distributed to the IR LEDS and on to your desired unit (DVD/SKY/FREEVIEW ETC)

The main receiver also doubles as a charger for the mini rechargeable battery.

The device will send remote control signals through doors, walls and ceilings.

Compatible with:-

* Remote.

* VCR/DVD.

* Satellite.

* Cable.

* Freeview.

* Battery insert converts infrared signal into radio frequency.

* Includes rechargeable battery, sender, receiver, adaptor and 3 infrared extenders.

This system is great for people with AV equipment stored inside cabinets and difficult to reach places. It will effectively turn you IR remote into a radio based remote. No more pointing your controller-ever

Cost £24.99 From Argos.co.uk
