New Heinz Toaster Prototype: Faster Than a Speeding Bullet

Well okay, not really. Still, the new Heinz toaster prototype outstrips the ordinary toaster by approximately 91 full seconds. The Heinz Turbo Toaster could churn out toasted bread in exactly 50 seconds.
While run-of-the-mill toasters heat bread by creating a current on the metal wires running parallel on the device, the new Heinz toaster employs a different technology altogether. The designer, Oliver Newberry, a Central St Martins College in London graduate, crafted the toaster with giant fans at both flanks to suck in air, heat it, and then blast the heated air onto the bread.
I’m sure the new concept would entertain us all but in truth, I fail to see the compelling need for it. Sure, every second counts for the harried modern-day individual. Still, by the time you’re done combing your tresses or putting your shoes on, your toast (done on an ordinary toaster) would be finished anyhow. Although I have doubts as to the product’s commercial success, I’m pretty much sure it would gain a cult following.

And the energy cost is?
Does your toast then taste like the aromas in your kitchen?
There’s not much info on the Heinz toaster yet. But Heinz has given Newberry their “blessing” if ever he decides to find financial backing for the toaster to go into production.
I know, my concern too. For products which suck in ambient air, a filter would expectedly be in place but a filter cannot change the air’s aroma now, could it? I really don’t see where this invention’s going but perhaps something would come off of it in the future.
That toaster looks amazing! I wonder how long it takes to do potato waffles?
I think it will be more waffley versatile than my current machine!
LOL. Looks like a mini jet plane, doesn’t it? As I said, this one has potential for a cult following. I must admit, it does look cool.
And this is faster how?
I see only 1 slot in the picture, most regular toasters have 2. A regular toaster takes 91 seconds for 2 slices, this would take 100 seconds + the time needed to take out the toast and put in a new slice of bread.
I’d still get one tho
