Dreambook Light IL1: Cheap but Good?
Published by Tiago February 11th, 2008 in Gadgets, Computing, Tablet PC.
The new trend of “small laptops” is a device with reasonable features, and a low-price. Can the Dreambook Light IL1 be part of that category?
It certainly can. The 7-inch Ultra Mobile PC only costs $450, and has basic features which are great for day-to-day uses of a computer, like browsing the internet, checking emails, and other tasks. Sadly, it is missing an important element - built-in Wi-Fi.
On the other hand, the Dreambook Light IL1 comes with a Via C7-M processor running at 1GHz, and 1GB on the RAM memory. As for the hard-drive, there are some options that can from 2GB, up to 8GB on the flash memory category, or up to 40GB in case you want a 1.8-inch HD.
Another seemingly nice option is the choice of OS, you can pick either Windows Vista or Ubuntu.
