Archos 405 presents 30GB player

Published by Tiago February 24th, 2008 in Gadgets, Portable Audio, Audio, DAB.

archos 405Archos has upgraded one of their multimedia players, more specifically the 405. Instead of the old 2GB (flash) version, this Archos model now has 30GB on a form of a normal hard-disk.

The portable device will reach the European market at the end of this month, with a price tag of $295, and one of the strange features is how it handles the support of MPEG-2 and MPEG-4 video files - it requires plug-ins.

On the normal side of personal media players, the Archos 405 sports a 3.5-inch screen with 16 million colors, and an improved ARCLibrary for the music library.

That’s quite an increase in HD space. I like how the buttons are on the side- looks like it would be good for one handed use.
