Asus Eco-Book: Competing with Giant Pandas for Bamboo

With everyone going ga-ga over green tech, it seems bamboo has become a staple material for many companies wishing to create more environment-friendly products. Has anyone ever thought about the welfare of the giant pandas?!
Oh, right. Bamboo grasses don't die after you cut them off -- the grow back up. In fact, they continue to grow during winter. Asus decided to harness this natural resource to create the Asus Eco-book -- a new laptop showcased during CeBIT earlier. The Asus Eco-book is made partially of bamboo and partially of other less green materials. Hey, you didn't expect everything to be made of bamboo, did you? At least Asus tried.
