LED Pillow Alarm Clock

I'm a deep sleeper, so my alarm clock resembles the sound of a fire alarm, and could wake up the whole house from slumber.
Waking up from such a sound becomes depressing after a while, so I'm looking into alternatives. This concept design is a LED-embedded pillow alarm clock. You simply set the time you want to wake up, and when it comes, the pillow will grow with increasing brightness for 40 minutes until you get out of bed. When you're ready to wake up and lift your head, the dot-matrix under the pillow case will display the current time. Unfortunately, I already sleep with the lights on, so something like this might be useless. But then again, if I don't get up within 40 minutes, perhaps the LED lights would start heating up--for sure, something like that could compel me to get up.
