Beer Pong: Utterly Useless Game

For the life of me, I can't seem to figure out why beer and balls seem to go together so often. Take for example this game called "Beer Pong."

Just by reading the name Beer Pong, you can figure out it's an utterly useless game. You won't train your brain playing it like in chess. You don't strengthen your muscles either. For you see, the object of the game is to make your opponent drink as much beer as possible. Basically, cups of beer are arranged at one's end of the table. The opponent then tries to land their pingpong ball onto a cup which the opponent has to drink. Reading the game specs, I can't help but think that both sides would rather lose! Oh, to ensure the best experience yet, the cups of beer are kept over ice racks to keep them cold. Pointless yes, but pointless is fun at times too.
