Weatherproof Floating Wireless Speaker
By Mariella on Tuesday, June 10th, 2008 comments
Poolside parties are more fun if you can really bring the sounds into the pool rather than just beside it.
Don't worry about destroying perfectly good speakers, the Neiman Marcus Weatherproof Floating Wireless Speaker will do the job. This floating wireless speaker takes on a spherical form factor and can even go 9 feet underwater for a full 30 minutes, outstripping David Blaine's attempt at holding one's breath. There are two LED mood lights on either side of the speaker which can work up to 150 feet of an iPod or another portable media player. It works for 6 hours on 6 AA Batteries.
The Neiman Marcus Weatherproof Floating Wireless Speaker is ow available at the official web site for £75.

I like the look of the speaker but.. Perhaps the fact that I don't have a pool and am very rarely invited to pool parties colours my judgement on this one, is an in-pool speaker really necessary?
Waterproof speakers to keep by the pool I completely understand I'm just not sure why you'd want them IN the pool.. Perhaps I need to be educated.. Anyone have a pool party I can attend & learn from?
Not everyone has ideal locations for poolside speakers. Also, if your speakers are fixed in location for the pool, they might not be heard over at the hottub. This lets you float your music anywhere.
