The iPhone 3G is Coming: Pre-Order Now Available

Are you counting the clock ’til you can get it? What’s “it” you ask? Why, what else but the Apple iPhone 3G that’s coming out in the UK through O2.

Pre-orders have been available since yesterday and consumers have reportedly been flocking to the available online portals where they could sign up such that O2’s servers went down. The Apple iPhone 3G were available for pre-order directly from O2 and from Carphone Warehouse. I say “were” because not surprisingly, the demand was so large the units allocated for online orders ran out. Both online portals are displaying banners saying “Due to huge demand for the iPhone 3G, we’re currently out of stock online.” However, said web sites promise more information come June 10. So if you’re interested in the second-gen iPhone, I suggest you get ready to stand in line as soon as July 11 rolls in.
