Photo Safe II: External HD to store your photos

Published by Tiago July 17th, 2008 in Gadgets, Storage.

Photo Safe IIIn the world of external hard-drives there are always new products being presented constantly (hint: Fujitsu HandyDrive) and one of the latest devices is the Photo Safe II.

The portable storage solution is made by Digital Foci and there are two models available: 80GB and 160GB, which cost close to £70 and £95 respectively. Being an external hard-drive that targets the photographers, it means there are a few special features like a slot for miniSD and MS Duo cards.

On the LED screen you can view information about the battery life, current free space, and the transfer status. As for transfer speeds, the Photo Safe II receives data at 5MBps.

The drive also allows users to copy Memory Stick, MS Duo, MS Pro Duo, SD/HC, MMC or xD Picture card content onto CF cards.

Needless to state the use of USB2.0 interface to connect it to a computer.
