Magic Water Colours

Published by Tripleeagle January 9th, 2008 in Gadgets, Home.

LED Faucet Light

You’d think that red water tastes disgusting - but no. This device, which you attach to your tap, will lighten the normal liquid as it leaves the faucet. The illuminating colour depends on the temperature of the water: red when hot, blue when cold. The LED used on this gadget switches off when water no longer runs. The item and two universal adapters are available for about $20 (£10) on ThinkGeek and would be ideal for nightclubs or children’s bathrooms.

To get the device working, all you need to do is attach it to the end of the tap and turn on the water. The package also includes pre-installed G13-A batteries, spares ones and an instruction sheet.

Warning: There are two products… One where the light stays blue all the time and one where the colours change according to the temperature. Choose wisely.

Buying: ThinkGeek or Amazon

The handset has a very basic keypad, comes in black, pink or blue and weighs just 86g. Functions include an MP3 player, mobile TV, games, a web browser and most importantly, the 2 megapixel camera which doesn’t let you use it as a webcam for video calling.

The iLoo

Published by Tripleeagle January 5th, 2008 in iPod.

iLoo

Here it is, the most useful iPod accessory yet: the iPod-charging toilet roll! The iCarta costing about £40 has the same features as a standard docking station, except, it’s a paper dispenser: by placing the MP3 player on the device the four moisture-resistant speakers will let you listen to the iPod’s songs in high quality and the player will charge while you’re taking a shower, brushing your teeth or simply sitting on the toilet.
