Devo Solar Charger Pack now does iPhone 3G

The affordable solar powered battery pack just extended its feature set to include powering the latest iPhone 3G and improving its electronics.
You wouldn't expect to find much use for a solar powered charger if you're resident in the UK - the weather has been overall pretty crap this year!
The biggest time you'd probably want a solar battery would be at a festival, but as we've seen in the media - that usually involves rain and mud!
However, the Devotec Solar Battery charger isn't just relying on the sun. The nifty little pack doubles up as a portable battery boost for phones, mp3 players and other portable electronics.
Charging is easy - just hook up the Solar battery to a USB or main power supply before your trip. Once your battery is juiced up pop it in a bag or pocket along with the appropriate adapter(s).
When your phone or music player looses its power, inject a boost from the Solar charger pack and keep on going!
The Devotec Solar Charger includes a UK 3-pin to USB plug in the price, which is superb value for money compared to the expensive cost of Apples' 3-pin USB adapter plug!
Unlike similar battery pack solutions for the iPhone - the Solar battery pack is a superb solution for power without having to bolt on a big battery case to your sexy handset. The battery even comes with a small leather pouch to keep it protected when not in use.
Available now from £24.99 to make a iPhone power user happy this Christmas! Pick your battery to get started.

surely they will install solar panels actually IN the phone before too long
That looks awsome! Definitely gonna get a few of those for Christmas presents...
Don't think this will sell well in some of those European countries mired in darkness half the time. They should push it in South East Asia though.
uh - no thanks. That thing is not going on my iPhone.
As an outdoorsman I find this as an invaluable addition to my gear. There have been a number of times that emergencies in the back country would have been handled much more efficiently and quickly! I will be adding this to my toolkit!
How about a rain powered charger for festivals?
Serioiusly though have you seen the queues at the charging stations? I suspect this would only need a couple of hours sunlight to give you enouigh to keep going for a day.
I am always in constant need of a phone charger, it feels like I never actually have a battery when I need it so something like this is a good alternative.
Thanks for the tutorial, it is very helpful.
I had been looking for a device like this since I have an Iphoen and am always on the move.

There are a lot of solar chargers on the market, and I’ve tested about 5 different. Now I have this one, and it does its job very well.
I've used a few difeerent solar chargers for my gadgets but none of them really seem to do agreat job as the appliance never seems to hold it's charge as long as it would through a conventional power socket.
The solar chargers are great if you need an emergency charge but that is about all.
i love it , i think its something im going to purchase for myself, thanks for the info dude, i gona bookmark and share this page.
I guess this device could work good in some countries, by experience if solar re- chargers doesn't power up as well as 'standard' rechargers, then they will soon just collect dust in a corner.
This looks awesome! I had no idea this even existed, and for such a great price! Has anyone used the solar pack? I'm curious to know how well it works and how much sunlight is needed?

most solar panels after many years lose their ability to charge, does anyone know how long this will last? i herd that after 15 years the panels can only charge upto 10% is that true?
